It’s funny how fluid this life is; one day things feel hopeless, and each day drags like an eternity, the next overflowing with hope and joy. I sometimes wonder whether it’s just me, or does everyone live this roller coaster? I’m not complaining, just observing.

It is said that language is a living thing. I never really considered this statement until recently. Whilst authoring my last post, I was reminded of some of the words that my Grandmother would often use and that I had never before or since heard. Most of these superfluous words are in fact dead, or at least dying.

Christmas At Grandma’s House

As he entered the bedroom, the boy considered the strange proportions of the space. He stood in a area no more the 5×5 flanked by a wardrobe, bed, mule chest, and bookcase. He found the latter most intriguing, it still possessed the essence of the Grandfather he had never known. It stood as tall as the room itself, and proudly offered it’s contents.

Awestruck

I saw a commercial the other day depicting that magical moment when kids run to the tree, and are awestruck by the miracle of the gifts. I so clearly remember that feeling of sheer delight.

Don’t Get Too Excited

I am so tired, yet here I am. Just wanted to drop a quick note to gloat about my fantasy football coaching skill. I’ve made it to the finals of both leagues that I’m in.
But, mostly I just wanted to test the posting interface in WordPress. I am giving real consideration to a conversion from Blogger. We’ll see, for now I’ll maintain both.
